Hosting services
We can provide a number of solutions for your domain registration, e-mail
handling and web space, using our own dedicated server.

Domain registration
We include for the registration of one UK domain name of your
choice, in your firm's name, with each templated package
(eg firmname.co.uk), but will charge a renewal fee when the time comes.
Further domain names can be registered at any time.
You can transfer existing domain names to us if you wish - there
is an additional £15 + VAT admin charge for the transfer of US
domain names. We do not make a charge if you want to transfer
domains
away from us.
Hosting packages
We offer a range of types of hosting package, to suit your needs and budget. Select one from the following options:
1: Basic domain handling
All new website orders include for registering and hosting a new domain name (if required), and hosting your website files in our own directory, giving you a web address of eg www.firmname.co.uk. We will also
give you up to 5 mailboxes based on your domain name eg enquiries@firmname.co.uk,
which will each forward mail on to an existing external mailbox for collection
eg john@hotmail.co.uk. This means that both your website and
your e-mail addresses are based on the domain name of your choice, making
them easier to remember.
2. Hosting for website files only
If you are happy with the ISP who currently handles your domain, and/or have a mail setup that you don't want to interrupt, then we can simply set up an account to host your website files and leave all else intact. This will require your ISP to amend the "A" records for your domain to an IP address we will supply, and will give you webspace with access to webstats. The annual fee for this account for the first year will be included within the setup cost for new packages, and chargeable annually thereafter. For existing websites who switch to this arrangement the annual fee commences from the switch date.
3. Starter hosting package - includes up to 5 POP3 mailboxes, with spam filter
If you don't need lots of mailboxes then we can provide a hosting account for your domain with up to 5 POP3 mailboxes, and webspace for your website files giving stats on your website's activity. This account allows to up to 60MB each mailbox and 200MB webspace, with a monthly bandwidth of 1.5GB. The package does not include support in setting up your mailboxes in Outlook, as we do for Option 4, but will give you links to online instructions on how to do this.
4. Full hosting package - includes up to 30 POP3 mailboxes, with spam filter
If you want a number of mailboxes for your staff, and/or website stats
on your website's activity, then you will need a full hosting
account. Our basic package provides up to 30 POP3 mailboxes and up to 75MB of space each mailbox, 300MB of webspace,
and a monthly bandwidth of 2 GB, which allows for storage of your mail, your website files and
the log files associated. This package also includes virus/dangerous attachment scanning as standard.
If you have an in-house mail server then instead of POP3 accounts
we can set up an account for your server to collect mail from.
Alternatively we can offer "store and forward" service, or to amend the
MX records to an IP address of your choice, but would point out
that the latter option
means we have no control over your mail and cannot restore anything
if your server is off-line for any reason. Our "store and forward" facility passes mail on to your server, but keeps it for up to 4 days if your server is offline, forwarding it on again if your server comes online within that time.
Support
We will give you details of how to transfer your domain to us when the
time comes, and upload the approved relevant website files on
completion where applicable. Not all the files used in your site will be uploaded
this way, and some have to stay on our server for reason of
functionality.
The setup fee we charge under Option 4 allows for the setting up of your account, setting
up the mailbox(es) you require and helping you set up your PCs/server
to use them, uploading your completed website files, and providing
telephone support during office hours as required. We cannot advise on the individual setup of your inhouse mail server, PC or network, as this is falls outside the provision of our service.
If spam is a problem then you will find our spam and virus screening service useful. This is a standard feature of Options 3 and 4, and screens all your mail before you get it, destroying definite spam and either deleting suspect spam or forwarding it on for you to check before deleting. We also remove all mail with known viruses attached.
If you require more space/ mailboxes then our High-User package offers up to 40 POP3 mailboxes with 90 Mb space each, 450MB of webspace, and 3GB bandwidth each month.

Costs
Domain registration/ renewals: £20 + VAT for UK names (.co.uk, .org.uk, .ltd.uk) and £30 + VAT for
US names
for 2 years (.com, .info, .org, .net, .biz).
1 Basic web/mail forwarding: no charge
2 Hosting for website files only: an annual fee of £50 + VAT (first year included in the setup price of all new Infosites and Financial Planner sites).
3 Starter package: an annual fee of £75 + VAT (first year included in the setup price of all new Infosites and Financial Planner sites).
4. Full hosting account: a fee of £99 + VAT pa or part thereof (first year included in the setup price of a new site), plus a one-off setup fee of £150 + VAT. The High-User package costs an additional £50 + VAT pa.
If you ask us to register additional domain names for you we
will "point" them
to your main web address at no additional charge to the registration
cost (some people like to buy both the .co.uk and the .com versions
of their domain names to prevent plagiarism).
